Meet the new EZ!Fuse Splice On Connector (SOC) Termination System. This system offers an easier-to-use solution that is more reliable and cost-effective than other available splice on and mechanical connectors.
The EZ!Fuse SOC system allows for easy termination and flexibility in the field. This new splice on connector requires no field polishing or epoxy which significantly increases the quality and consistency of field connector termination. It also greatly reduces the total installation time needed when compared to traditional methods. In addition, the connector is easily assembled using a process that requires minimal skills and/or training.
The most difficult task for splicer operators has always been managing the optical fiber once splicing has been completed. The EZ!Fuse connector termination feature eliminates the need for splice trays, which results in easier fiber management, reduced storage requirements and faster installation times. In addition, by eliminating the use of pre-connectorized jumpers, this solution again allows for easy termination and flexibility in the field. In this way, the solution saves on space while supporting significantly improved termination quality, operational consistency and installation time. This connector’s innovative, streamlined design also consists of fewer parts and requires fewer tools for assembly, again helping to reduce the training time needed for installation.
The EZ!Fuse SOC system allows easy field termination of EZ-Bend® cables, pre-terminated splitters, fan outs and drop terminals. It is compatible with FITEL Fusion Splicer models Ninja NJ001, S179 and S178, as well as splicer models from other manufacturers. These connectors also meet Telcordia GR-326 CORE requirements. Both UPC and APC polishing are available for single-mode and multimode fibers.
